Common questions

How long does it take to build a clinic website?

Four to eight weeks for most projects. The build itself is the predictable part; what stretches timelines is content — bios, photos, treatment details — sitting in someone's inbox for three weeks. We give you a short list of what we need up front and draft the rest ourselves, which keeps the project out of that trap.

Do we actually own the website?

Yes. The domain, the design, and every word on it. We build on WordPress, registered and hosted in accounts your clinic controls. Plenty of website companies in this space rent you a site that disappears, along with its content, when you stop paying. If we ever part ways, you keep the site and the logins.

Will it work with our booking system or EHR?

We build around whatever your clinic already runs. If scheduling lives in SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, IntakeQ, or an EHR with a booking widget, we wire the site into it so patients book there directly. If you don't have a system yet, we can set up booking and automated reminders as part of the project.

What does "conversion-focused" actually mean?

That the site is built backwards from one action: someone calling or filling out the consultation form. Every treatment page answers what patients ask before they'll reach out — does it work, is it safe, what does it cost, will insurance cover it. A pretty site that doesn't produce inquiries is a brochure. We track calls and form fills so you can see which one you have.

Who writes the content?

We do. We work with clinics like yours every day, so we already know what kind of content brings patients in — the questions they ask, the language that builds trust, and what makes someone pick up the phone. You can review anything before it goes live if you want to; either way, we make sure every page is accurate, clear, and ready for launch.

Can a website get us in trouble with HIPAA?

It can, and most web designers don't know to check. Contact forms that collect health details need to store and send them securely, and ad trackers like the Meta pixel have caused real legal trouble for healthcare providers by passing visitor health data to advertisers. We set up forms, analytics, and tracking with that in mind, and keep anything resembling patient information out of ordinary inboxes.

Will a redesign hurt the rankings we already have?

Not if it's done carefully, and this is worth asking anyone you talk to. Every page that ranks or gets traffic today gets mapped to a page on the new site with a redirect, so Google follows the move instead of hitting dead ends. A redesign that skips this step can undo years of SEO in a week.

What happens after launch?

The site is yours to run, and we don't build things that need us forever. You get a walkthrough of how to edit pages yourself, and WordPress is common enough that any future developer can pick it up. If you'd rather not think about updates, backups, and security, we offer ongoing care plans — optional, and the site works the same if you never take one.
